So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them. And although there were so many, the net was not torn. Jesus said to them, â€œCome and have breakfast.â€
On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, â€œPeace be with you.â€
Jesus said to her, â€œDo not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them, â€˜I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.â€™â€
But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. But one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and at once there came out blood and water.
A jar full of sour wine stood there, so they put a sponge full of the sour wine on a hyssop branch and held it to his mouth. When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, â€œIt is finished,â€ and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
Jesus answered, â€œMy kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.â€
When Jesus had spoken these words, he went out with his disciples across the Kidron Valley, where there was a garden, which he and his disciples entered. Now Judas, who betrayed him, also knew the place, for Jesus often met there with his disciples.
When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
Philip said to him, â€œLord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.â€ Jesus said to him, â€œHave I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, â€˜Show us the Fatherâ€™?
If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you.
