Sermons by Michael Haykin
Westminster Chapel at High Park 10th Anniversary Lecture
Michael Haykin provides the history of how the 1908 Hewitt Avenue Mission became Westminster Chapel at High Park, and the lessons we can learn from Rev. John Linton's ministry during a time of controversy in the 1920s
Imitating What is Good
We belong to the great body of Christians through all history, and this reality should be reflected in our love for all faithful churches.
Leading
Leadership is important. Jesus did not leave His Church leaderless. He is the Head of the Church, but He has also given us human leaders (i.e. deacons, elders).
Adoring the Trinity
Each person of the Trinity is equally divine. When we approach one Person of the Trinity, we are offering full worship to the other Persons.
Loving the Brethren
Our love for our Christian brothers and sisters is to be patterned after Christ’s love for the Church. Christ gave Himself for the Church, which is to be a place where the love of God is realized in community.
