Christianity and Culture Colloquium

Join us October 18th - 21st!

This four-day residential program, for Christians in all spheres, deals with critical themes surrounding the Christian’s responsibility when it comes to participating in, and shaping, culture.

At the program we will consider important subjects related to the mission of God's people to live our lives and shape our world in obedience to Christ.




Rev. Dr. Joseph Boot

M.A., Ph. D.

Rev. Dr. Joseph Boot (M.A., Ph.D.) is a Christian thinker & cultural apologist/philosopher, Founder and President of the Ezra Institute for Contemporary Christianity. He also served as founding pastor of Westminster Chapel, Toronto for 14 years.  Now resident home in Great Britain, Joseph has worked in the fields of Christian apologetics, worldview education and church leadership for over twenty-five years on both sides of the Atlantic. He has spoken and guest lectured globally at numerous university events, seminaries, churches, colleges, and conferences. He regularly addresses pastors and Christian leaders as well as academic, medical, legal, and political professionals and has publicly debated leading atheistic thinkers and philosophers in Canada and the United States.

André Schutten


André is Director of Law & Policy and General Legal Counsel for ARPA Canada, the Association for Reformed Political Action. He researches and writes on public policy, particularly from a Christian perspective, and conducts regular analysis on the impact of different government bills and court judgments. He also acts as a Parliamentary lobbyist. He has represented ARPA Canada in various court interventions, having made written arguments before the Supreme Court of Canada three times and written and oral arguments in three provincial courts of appeal.


Rev. Dr. Aaron Rock

M.Th., D.Min.

Aaron has ministered as a college professor, denominational leader, chaplain, church planter, teacher, and pastor. He serves as the founding and lead pastor of Harvest Bible Church in Windsor (since 2001), a church that has grown from five people to 1000 in twenty years. He blogs regularly at Aaron lives on a hobby farm in Amherstburg, Ontario. Aaron and his wife Susie have five children.

Rev. Dr. Michael Thiessen

M.A., D.Min.

Michael has over 20 years of pastoral ministry experience, including international teaching, coaching, and consulting experience.

With a heart for training and mentoring young adults and pastors, and advancing both church and cultural renewal, Michael Thiessen serves LionSight Strategies as the Founder and Lead Coach. He also serves Liberty Coalition Canada as the Founder and President.


Dr. Ted Fenske


Dr. Fenske is Clinical Professor with the Division of Cardiology at the University of Alberta and staff cardiologist at the C.K. Hui Heart Centre. He is a regular contributor to the Canadian Journal of Continuing Medical EducationPerspectives in Cardiology, and several other scholarly journals.
