In the book of Proverbs, infidelity, fornication and adultery are the opposite of practical wisdom and faithfulness. Infidelity is not the path to freedom; it leads to physical, emotional, and spiritual harm to our humanity.
Your Rod and Staff
Our church is called to a ministry of nurture, which includes church discipline. You can't sin and say it's no one else's business. We live in community. A little leaven leavens the whole lump. Fear can lead to dread, which leads to an inability to move or act as humans. Fear of God is the opposite of fear of man. When we face enemies while doing God's work, we're secure because it is God who stands behind us granting us strength.
Moral Madness
Moral madness leads to self-deception, observed in the inability to recognize one's own rebellion against God's moral order. We either intellectually deny God's existence, or we deny God practically by the way we live.
